Minutes
"This is going to be quite short I am basing this off memory. After this meetings are going to be recorded and a more accurate representation of the meetings will be here. I am going to skip straight the New Business part of the meeting."
Appointment of new Officers. Ernie and Kathy stepped down as President and Vice President. Robert volunteered for a position and was nominated for President. This nomination was passed unanimously. Sarah was nominated for Vice President and was passed unanimously. Cecilia stepped down as Secretary and no one volunteered or was nominated for the position. We decided that for now we were going to automate the process as much as possible. We will record the meetings instead of taking minutes. Rob & Sarah will take on some of the Secretarial duties until the position is filled.
Clay Extrusion Workshop. Dot had talked to Wes Stack whom was willing to give a workshop on extruding clay. It was determined that the workshop would be held at the RAL. It will not cost the guild anything however a donation to the RAL was requested. We decided that the dates best suited for the event would be January 25th or Feb. 1st. Time decided was 10am till. Also it was suggested that the next meeting be held at the RAL on this day.
Suggestions for new workshops. Robert offered to give a Saggar firing workshop at SU. Robert also offered to do a barrel firing workshop Kathy suggested we do it at her home. more details on both of these workshops will need to be discussed.
For the Good of the Guild. All agreed that membership needed to raise. Rob disclosed that he was working on a web site and all agreed that it was a good idea. Membership could be acquired online.
"I have been working on the website since then and have a hard time remembering all the details after that so that's all."
