@ The Art League of Ocean City for the month of June
The Clay Guild of the Eastern Shore is exhibited as a group in Gallery E the Art League of Ocean City on 94th St Bayside in OC MD for the month of June. Pottery from a variety of Eastern Shore artists was available for sale at the Art League for the month. Artists included Nicki Jacobs, JMarie Cavallaro, Robert Johnson,Sarah Halcott, Patricia Rose, Imogene Halcott, Ernie Satchell, Cynthia Freyer
New This Year:
Pottery Throw Down - Clay Wars and more!
-Potters will compete for bragging rights on who makes the most consistent size, quality and quantity. Rob and Imma will judge.
-During the opening reception we will also have; 6-7 pm - Speed trials - introduction for the public to touch the clay. Get in get dirty, sign up!
-Sarah is teaching Saturday 2-3 kids and 4-6 adult pottery.
-Rob will teach a pick a pot Raku on Sunday.
-We will have pottery all over the gallery this year!

2022: Inspired by Nature... community art
The Clay Guild worked together to build this stacked art project, we had a workshop where each member made a different piece of the puzzle for this community made art installation. The piece can be viewed in person any time during the month of June while it sits in the garden at The Art League of Ocean City overlooking the bay. #OCMD

Throw Back to 2019 Clay-a-paloozaRemembering demos from the 2019 Clay-a-palooza at The Art League of Ocean City. Ernest Satchell, treasurer for the Clay Guild and retired UMES art teacher has been making pottery for more than 60 years and shows collaring. Marie Cavallero a retired Ceramics teacher from SU and President of CCART talks about centering. Robert Johnson, co-owner of Amused Studios, Clay Guild President, Art League of Ocean city- Pottery Studio Manager and teacher shows a naked Raku firing technique.
