Clay-a-palooza in June at The Art League in Ocean City

​ @ The Art League of Ocean City for the month of June!

     The Clay Guild of the Eastern Shore is exhibiting as a group in Gallery E the Art League of Ocean City on 94th St Bayside in OC MD for the month of June.  Pottery from a variety of Eastern Shore artists will be available for sale at the Art League for the month, including Nicki Jacobs, Jeff Stickle,  Kathy Kreft, Marie Cavallaro, Robert Johnson,Sarah Halcott, Patricia Rose,Charlene Willner, Imogene Halcott,  Ernie Satchell, Cynthia Freyer, George Aldredge, Gary Weber, Jenne Kaufman, and Caroline Webber.  
                     There will also be a special opening night reception for 1st Friday with an Artisans Market with some of the artists. From 5-7pm June 2nd, 2023.
    
​                    We are also exhibiting a new stacked art creation by made by members, our theme this year is Clay as an Art. 
                          
​                    This years Clay-a-palooza Workshops and event line up:
  • 3-Day Raku Pottery Workshop

    June 3, 4 and 17 from 12-3pm

2022: Inspired by Nature... community art  

The Clay Guild worked together to build this stacked art project, we had a workshop where each member made a different piece of the puzzle for this community made art installation. The piece can be viewed in person any time during the month of June while it sits in the garden at The Art League of Ocean City overlooking the bay.  #OCMD

Throw Back to 2019 Clay-a-palooza 

Remembering demos from the 2019 Clay-a-palooza at The Art League of Ocean City. Ernest Satchell, treasurer for the Clay Guild and retired UMES art teacher has been making pottery for more than 60 years and shows collaring. Marie Cavallero a retired Ceramics teacher from SU and President of CCART talks about centering. Robert Johnson, co-owner of Amused Studios, Clay Guild President, Art League of Ocean city- Pottery Studio Manager and teacher shows a naked Raku firing technique.
